- In a mixing bowl, add the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper together and combine well. Form into two oval patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside. Working in the same skillet, add the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix your cornstarch with water to create a slurry, stir this into the simmering broth to thicken.
- Return the patties to the skillet to coat with sauce, and allow to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
