  1. In a large pan, mix together water, gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir until everything is well combined.
  2. Add the rice cakes and fish cakes to the pan. Cook over medium heat for around 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice cakes become soft and the sauce thickens.
  3. Lower the heat and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Cover the pan and let it melt for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Once the cheese has melted, remove the lid and gently stir to blend the cheese with the tteokbokki.
  5. Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
