Make yourself a scrumptious Tiramisu dessert without eggs or mascarpone cheese. The traditional Italian dessert requires only 55 minutes to prepare. The combination of cream cheese with ladyfingers soaked in deep coffee creates a tasty 460-calorie treat. The dessert features cocoa powder and chocolate shavings on top which gives it a creamy and flavorful twist from the original recipe.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix the cream cheese with powdered sugar until it reaches a smooth consistency in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add vanilla extract to the mixture and mix it well. A shallow dish contains the cooled coffee mixture along with the optional coffee liqueur.
  3. Each ladyfinger needs a quick coffee mixture dip to absorb flavor while staying dry enough.
  4. Place half of the coffee-soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish followed by half of the cream cheese mixture.
  5. The process should be repeated with the remaining ladyfingers and cream cheese mixture.
  6. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.
  7. Before serving time sprinkle cocoa powder on top and add chocolate shavings to create a finishing touch!
